The Year of the Ox is almost here – time to bring out the red envelopes, light up the sky with fireworks, and bring in the new.
February 12th marks the beginning of the Year of the Ox. The second animal of the Chinese zodiac, the ox denotes the hard work, positivity and honesty that will be manifested in all of us in the coming 12 months, according to astrologers.
In rural Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal. Because of its role in agriculture, positive characteristics, such as being hardworking and honest, are attributed to it.
Oxen are honest and earnest. They are low key and never look for praise or to be the center of attention. This often hides their talent, but they’ll gain recognition through their hard work.
They believe that everyone should do what’s asked of them and stay within their boundaries. Though they are kind, it’s difficult for them to understand persuasion using pathos. Rarely losing their temper, they think logically and make great leaders.
This year is going to be lucky and also perfect to focus on relationships, whether we are talking about friendships or love.
May the coming year be filled with happiness and prosperity. Happy New Year!
